Day 1

Panorama Route

Depart for Mpumalanga, dropping several hundred feet into the lush sup-tropical region of the lowveld. Travel along the Panorama Route; explore living history in the form of Pilgrim’s Rest, the old mining village where gold was first discovered in 1873; enjoy the spectacular view from God’s Window, drive through forested mountains and fertile plains; visit the famous “Three Rondavels” in Blyde River Canyon, one of the natural wonders of Africa and the Bourke’s Luck Potholes. Overnight in a guest house in the Sabie area.

Day 2

Kruger National Park

After breakfast depart for the well known Kruger National Park. Established in 1898, this National Park of over two million hectares is unrivalled in the diversity of its flora and fauna.

Day 3

Kruger National Park

Set off before breakfast in search of the “Big Five” It is possible to see all the classical African big game, including elephant, black and white rhino, hippopotamus, giraffe, zebra, buffalo, and warthog. Large carnivores include lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog and spotted hyena. There are also many smaller mammals and equally enticing species. Optional: enjoy an open vehicle safari, a safari style bush dinner or morning bush walk.

Day 4

Maputo

After breakfast and a brief morning game drive, leave the Kruger national Park and travel to the capital of Mozambique, Maputo, with its wide tree-lined streets and tall buildings over-looking the Indian Ocean. The city has been shaped by the Portuguese Colonial past and exudes an intoxication Euro-Afro vibe. A guided visit to Maputo town includes a View of the Parliament, the Fortress and the famous CFM Railway Station, Eiffel’s Steel House, a visit to the Cathedral and a stop at the colourful central market. Mozambique is in stark contrast to South Africa, and has a huge developing economy after its many years of exile and internal war.

Day 5

Inhaca Island

After breakfast leave the Hotel for a transfer to tropical Inhaca Island. Spend your day lazing in the comfort of your bright and airy chalet. Stroll around the picturesque tropical gardens. Take a leisurely walk on the pristine, deserted beach, swim in the crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean and soak up the glorious African sun. Sip pre-dinner cocktails at the salt water swimming pool. Then tantalise your tastebuds with an array of fresh seafood. Experience fine cuisine and unmatched hospitality in a getaway with everything.

Day 6

Inhaca Island

Spoil yourself during another day in paradise. If you're feeling energetic, take advantage of the water sports on offer, or join one of our fascinating tours of the area. Inhaca is well known for excellent reef scuba diving, snorkeling (resort diving courses are also offered). Other activities include Water skiing; Cobra-cat; Sunset cruises; Walking trails / tours Kayaking; Wind surfing; Deep sea fishing; Parasailing; Surf fishing; Whale sightings. Tours can be organized to the lighthouse and the Marine Biology Museum as well as boat tours to Portuguese Island and Santa Maria

Return to Pretoria/Johannesburg via Maputo

After breakfast transfer back to Maputo and return to Pretoria/Johannesburg via Nelspruit and Waterval Boven to. Approx. 525 km
